A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State, Dr. Mohammed Santuraki, has criticized the leadership composition of the newly established North Central Development Commission (NCDC), calling it biased and unbalanced.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Santuraki—who also serves as Secretary-General of the Niger-South Senior Stakeholders’ Forum—said the list of appointees heavily favors certain states while sidelining Niger, despite its key role in the APC’s electoral success.
He noted that Niger State was only given one Non-Executive Director and one Executive Director slot, missing out on the top positions of Chairman and Managing Director.
“We believe firmly and respectfully that this falls far short of what the state justly deserves,” he said, appealing to President Bola Tinubu to review and correct the perceived imbalance.
