Health: Ifelodun LGA activates drug revolving scheme across 77 PHCs

The Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State under the leadership of Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf has activated the Drug Revolving Scheme across the seventy-seven (77) Primary Healthcare Centres in the Local Government.

The drugs, which are to be sold at subsidized rates at health centres across the 18 wards, are aimed at easing access to essential medication for residents, especially those in rural communities.

As Part of his campaign promises, the Chairman also received a Federal Government-funded Primary Healthcare Centre in Babaloma Community, where operations have already begun.

“Health sector is one of my topmost priorities as it is the best way to secure the wellbeing of our people. As the mandate of our Project Governor, Mallam AbdulRahaman Abdulrazaq, is to make life better for women, the aged and widows in the community, we have brought drugs closer to them at a very discounted and affordable rate in all the active PHCs in the Local Government.” He said

“The Local Government has also sponsored forty-three (43) students to Osogbo Polytechnic of Health Technology and Management Sciences to study health-related courses, so that we can admit them into our operations after graduation.”

“We have approved 3 workers to commence operations at the Primary Healthcare Centre in Babaloma Community. Also, we have some medical doctors rotating between health centres — all to make life better for our people.” He concluded

The Head of Health Department in the Local Government, Chief Abdulrazaq Abdulsalam, applauded the Chairman for his health sector initiative and appreciated his continued approval of all the department’s activities.
