Renowned legal luminary and prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Barrister Debo Aderibigbe, KSC, has extended heartfelt commendations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as he marks his second anniversary in office. Speaking on behalf of the Barrister Adebayo Reps Project and the Kwara Advancement Forum, Aderibigbe described the President as a “high achiever, true federalist, unapologetic reformist, trailblazer, and resilient administrator.”
In his statement, Aderibigbe lauded President Tinubu for his bold, reform-driven leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting several significant achievements since his inauguration in May 2023.
Among the key accomplishments highlighted are:
• A 76% increase in tax revenue without any hike in tax rates;
• A significant drop in the revenue-to-debt ratio from 97% in May 2023 to approximately 50% by February 2025;
• Full repayment of a $3.4 billion IMF loan;
• Increase in daily oil production to 1.61 million barrels, leading to over $5.5 billion in foreign direct investments.
Aderibigbe also praised the administration’s Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative, designed to reduce transportation costs, alongside massive infrastructure development projects, including bridges, roads, railways, and the ongoing coastal highway project.
On social investment and national development reforms, he highlighted:
• Reintroduction of the Students Loan Scheme and History into the national curriculum;
• A N45,000 grant for students in technical colleges;
• Rehabilitation of over 1,000 health facilities across the country;
• Strategic agricultural support through farmer incentives and mechanization;
• Launch of the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates initiative to tackle housing deficits;
• Youth and women-targeted job creation programs in the digital and creative sectors;
• Advocacy for local government autonomy and the disbursement of N570 billion to states to mitigate global economic shocks.
He offered prayers for the President’s continued wisdom, strength, and visionary leadership, urging Nigerians to unite in support of all levels of government while promoting peace and progress—especially in Kwara State.
In the same vein, Aderibigbe extended warm congratulations to Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, and Deputy Governor Elder Kayode Alabi on their sixth year in office. He described Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership as visionary, transformational, and people-centered.
He spotlighted the following achievements under Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration:
• Recruitment of thousands of teachers to strengthen the education system;
• Clearing of long-standing pension arrears;
• Extensive road network expansion across the state;
• Implementation of the Smart City and Urban Renewal Initiative;
• Establishment of a Digital Innovation Hub to promote tech-driven growth;
• Introduction of inclusive social safety net programs for vulnerable populations.
Aderibigbe emphasized that the AbdulRazaq administration has reinstated fiscal discipline, improved internally generated revenue (IGR), and promoted transparent governance. These efforts, he noted, have not only enhanced the quality of life in Kwara State but have also earned the Governor national recognition.
“As Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq marks this important milestone,” Aderibigbe stated, “we commend his resilience, humility, and unwavering dedication to the growth and emancipation of Kwara State. We look forward to the continued realization of his vision for a prosperous and inclusive future.”
The celebration of President Tinubu’s two-year anniversary and Governor AbdulRazaq’s six-year milestone presents a moment of national reflection on the progressive leadership strides made under APC-led administrations at both federal and state levels.
