Urges President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remain Steadfast in Promoting Merit and Integrity in Public Service
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone C, through its Deputy Coordinator Comr. Abiola Babatunde Azeez Adigun, commends Dr. Muheeba Dankaka, the Chairperson of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), for her exceptional and reform-driven leadership at the Commission.
We proudly acknowledge that Dr. Dankaka’s tenure represents one of the most transparent and integrity-focused eras in the history of the FCC. Her administration has boldly dismantled longstanding internal malpractices, including the sale of job slots, contract rackets, and placement fraud, which had plagued the institution for years. In doing so, she has restored credibility, accountability, and structure to a commission once clouded by controversy.
Her commitment to merit-based recruitment, the digitalization of processes, and the enforcement of discipline has not only elevated the public perception of the FCC but also strengthened the principle of equitable federal representation. Under her leadership, recruitment exercises have been free from political, ethnic, or gender bias, ensuring true inclusivity and national balance.
Dr. Dankaka has overseen a remarkable rebranding of the Commission, sanctioned corrupt officers, sanitized internal networks, and executed a comprehensive upgrade of the FCC headquarters in Abuja by creating a modern, functional, and dignified working environment for staff and stakeholders alike.
NANS Zone C encourages President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remain steadfast in promoting merit and integrity in public service. We believe that Dr. Muheeba Dankaka’s reappointment would be a resounding affirmation that reformers deserve protection, not persecution, and that women who lead with courage, truth, and vision must be supported and not sidelined.
Dr. Dankaka’s legacy is not just one of reform, but of national renewal, and her principled stance continues to inspire students, youth, and women across the country. NANS Zone C stands in solidarity with her and calls on all progressive voices to defend the gains made under her leadership.
Let us not retreat from progress. Let us protect our reformers. And above all, let us continue to encourage the women we empower to lead especially when they lead with excellence.
