Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians in the state, calling for unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective commitment to the progress and security of Kwara State and Nigeria.

In his Christmas message released on Tuesday, the Governor congratulated the Christian community on the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, describing the season as one that embodies love, peace, joy, and divine guidance.

“I extend my warm felicitations to the Christian community in Kwara State on the Christmas festivities, praying that the season brings everyone joy, peace, and God’s abiding grace and guidance — the very essence of Jesus Christ who is the reason for the season,” the Governor said.

Governor AbdulRazaq commended Christians in the state for their consistent support, understanding, and commitment to peaceful coexistence, noting that religious harmony remains one of the pillars of Kwara State’s stability.

He urged residents to use the festive period to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and mutual respect, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in building a safer and more prosperous society.

The Governor also called on Kwarans to remain vigilant and patriotic, particularly in view of prevailing security challenges across the country, while assuring citizens of the government’s continued collaboration with security agencies to safeguard lives and property.

“In the light of our current challenges, I request that we remain vigilant, patriotic, and supportive of government’s efforts as security forces work round the clock to sustain public safety in every part of the state,” he said.

Governor AbdulRazaq concluded by wishing Christians and all residents of the state a joyful Christmas celebration and a more fulfilling New Year.

“I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a more fulfilling New Year ahead,” the message read.
