The Global President of the Offa Descendants Union, Dr Muideen Olaniyi Azeez Salako, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State.
Salako made the declaration in a video obtained by Journalist on Friday, where he outlined his readiness to lead the state.
He said his decision was driven by his experience in academia, business, and other areas of human endeavour, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver good governance.
“With all my experience in academic and business life, as well as other aspects of human endeavours, I have what it takes to govern Kwara State, deliver quality service to the people, address the challenges we are currently facing, and move the state to the next level,” he said.
The ODU president, however, did not disclose the political platform on which he intends to contest the election.
His declaration adds to the growing list of aspirants positioning ahead of the 2027 governorship race in Kwara State.
