The Publisher of 9japarrot Digital Media and Communications, Saeed Tijjani, has been honoured with the YODECO Digital Media Influencer of the Year award.
The event, held at the Kwara State Banquet Hall in Ilorin, attracted stakeholders from the political, professional and media sectors.
Tijjani, an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, emerged winner after a public voting process conducted on the YODECO platform.
He was recognised alongside other awardees, including the Kwara Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, and the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Abdulquawiy Abdulganiyu Olododo, as well as Ilorin East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Garba Lukman Olayinka Agbelere.
The organisers said Tijjani was selected for his innovation in digital journalism, commitment to credible reporting and his role in promoting civic awareness through online platforms.
Chairman of YODECO, Engr. Abdulkadir Alausa, said the award aims to encourage youth participation in civic engagement while recognising individuals making positive impact.
“The public, by voting for you, deemed you fit for this honour. Your contributions to digital media inspire young people,” he said.
In his remarks, Tijjani thanked the organisers and voters, pledging to continue using his platform to promote social change and strengthen engagement between government and citizens.
