Suspected bandits have reportedly invaded Nuku village in Kaiama Local Government Area of , leaving the community under siege in an early morning attack.
Sources said the attack began around 3:00 a.m., with gunmen allegedly killing the commander of the forest guards and setting ablaze a Mopol bomb detection vehicle.
At least four other forest guards were reported missing as of the time of filing this report, while residents fled for safety amid ongoing gunfire.
Casualty figures remain unconfirmed as the situation continues to unfold, with efforts underway to ascertain the full extent of the attack.
