Kaiama youths on Friday staged a protest over rising insecurity, demanding urgent intervention from authorities to safeguard lives and property.
The protesters, who gathered at the Local Government Secretariat, expressed concerns over recent attacks in parts of the area, particularly the deadly assault in Nuku community.
According to reports, the demonstration followed the early morning attack that left several casualties and heightened fears among residents.
In a related development, members of the community also assembled at the Emir’s palace to pay their last respects to personnel of the Nigeria Forest Guards who were killed during the attack.
Residents described the incident as tragic, calling on government and security agencies to intensify efforts to tackle insecurity and prevent further loss of lives in the area.
