A former federal lawmaker, , has declared his intention to contest for the Kwara South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the .
In a statement addressed to stakeholders and residents of , Makanjuola said his decision was driven by a sense of responsibility and commitment to the development of the district.
He noted that his previous experience as a two-term member of the House of Representatives and his role as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Senate President have equipped him with the capacity to deliver effective representation.
The aspirant outlined his vision to include infrastructural development, economic growth, improved education, agricultural support, enhanced security and inclusive governance across the senatorial district.
Makanjuola also called on leaders, youths, women and other stakeholders to support his ambition, pledging to serve as a bridge between the people’s expectations and measurable progress.
