Kwara PDP holds mega rally, knocks gov over insecurity, governance

The in on Saturday staged a mega rally across Kwara South Senatorial District, protesting what it described as poor governance, insecurity, and lack of transparency.

The rally, organised by the party’s State Working Committee led by , attracted a large turnout of party faithful, including governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Assembly aspirants.

The procession commenced from Ijagbo, passed through major streets in , and ended in Erin-Ile, with participants trekking several kilometres in a show of solidarity.

Addressing the crowd, Adamu commended the turnout and described it as a reflection of the party’s grassroots strength, adding that the PDP remains united and prepared for the 2027 elections.

He criticised the current administration over alleged worsening insecurity and uneven development, calling for urgent government action to protect lives and property.

Also speaking, governorship aspirants including , , and emphasised party unity and expressed confidence in the PDP’s chances in the forthcoming elections.
