MOK Foundation Reaffirms Commitment to Education Support as Schools Resume

As schools across Kwara State prepare to reopen, the MOK Foundation has restated its dedication to supporting the education sector, particularly for underprivileged students in government schools.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Saheed Lawal, gave the assurance in a statement on Friday, noting that education remains a top priority for the organization.

“As schools resume, we are steadfast in our mission to partner with government schools in providing much-needed support to underprivileged students,” he said. “For over two years, our commitment has been evident through initiatives such as paying school fees, offering scholarships, and sponsoring WAEC examinations.”

According to him, the Foundation has consistently prioritized educational assistance to ensure that disadvantaged students are not left behind in their academic journey.

Mr. Lawal further emphasized that the doors of the Foundation remain open to students and families genuinely in need of help, while encouraging schools to continue collaborating with the organization to promote literacy and tackle the scourge of illiteracy across the state.

“Our focus is to complement government efforts in building a literate society where no child is denied the opportunity to learn due to financial challenges,” he added.
