The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has congratulated a former Minister of State for Solid Minerals Development, Senator Rukayat Gbemisola Saraki, CON, on the occasion of her 60th birthday anniversary, which coincides with today, Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Alhaji Abdulmalik, in a statement by the Union’s Spokesperson, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, described Senator Saraki as an outstanding daughter of Ilorin and an impactful leader, saying that her contributions to the development of Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria would continue to be remembered and celebrated.
The President thanked Allah for preserving the life of Senator Gbemisola Saraki, who represented Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency and the Kwara Central Senatorial District in the Green and Red Chambers from 1999 to 2003 and between 2003 and 2011 respectively, in sound health as he remarked that the former Minister remains a model politician and community leader.
Alhaji Abdulmalik prayed to Allah to grant Senator Gbemisola Saraki long life and sound health for her to serve Allah and humanity for more years to come.
