Biliqis Sanni Hails Gov AbdulRazaq for NCDC Appointment

In a heartfelt letter of appreciation, Hajia Biliqis Jumoke Sanni, newly nominated Executive Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State for his unwavering support and commitment to gender inclusion in governance.

Hajia Sanni, a retired Permanent Secretary, lauded the governor’s influential role in her nomination, describing him as a steadfast pillar throughout the appointment process. While expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the federal nod, she reserved special praise for Governor AbdulRazaq for “standing like the Rock of Gibraltar” and ensuring her inclusion in the NCDC’s leadership.

She highlighted the governor’s legacy in promoting women’s participation in governance, referencing his administration’s groundbreaking achievement in surpassing the Beijing Declaration’s 35% affirmative action benchmark for female representation.

“Your Excellency did not merely speak of gender inclusion—you enacted the laws and policies that made it a reality,” she wrote. “You have revolutionized governance in Kwara State, leaving a golden footprint across all sectors.”

Hajia Sanni further noted that Governor AbdulRazaq’s humility and people-oriented leadership style have become a model in Nigeria’s political landscape, adding that history will remember his administration kindly.

She pledged her commitment to justify the trust placed in her and promised to deliver results in her new role at the NCDC.

The appointment of Hajia Sanni adds to the growing list of women empowered under Governor AbdulRazaq’s administration, reinforcing his reputation as a leading advocate for gender equity in Nigeria.
