Toba Adeyeye Assumes Leadership at KWASAA, Vows Bold Reforms and Revenue Growth in Kwara Advertising Sector

The newly appointed Acting General Manager (GM) of the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA), Mr. Toba Adeyeye, officially assumed office on Wednesday and, as part of his first official engagement, paid a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bola Olukoju, in her office.

Welcoming the new GM, Hon. Olukoju urged him to be proactive and fully committed to the ongoing restructuring efforts at the agency.

She emphasized that the reforms initiated by the state government—including the establishment of the Signage Taskforce and the development of a new operational framework for KWASAA—are aimed at aligning the signage and advertising industry in the state with global best practices.

According to her, the restructuring is designed to promote professionalism, enhance compliance, and uphold ethical standards, while also creating a more structured and investor-friendly environment for the advertising sector in Kwara State.

In his remarks, Mr. Adeyeye expressed deep gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the opportunity to serve the state in this capacity.

Describing his appointment as a call to service, Adeyeye pledged to leverage his professional experience to reposition KWASAA for greater impact.

The new KWASAA boss assured the Commissioner that under his leadership, the agency would execute its mandate without compromise.

Adeyeye reiterated his commitment to spearheading reforms that will raise industry standards, improve regulatory compliance, and significantly boost the state’s internally generated revenue.

He declared that “it will not be business as usual.” The ongoing restructuring, he noted, is more than a regulatory task—it represents a full-scale re-engineering of the sector aimed at attracting serious investors, preserving aesthetic order, and maximizing Kwara’s revenue potential.

Adeyeye also stressed that substandard and non-compliant advertising structures will no longer be tolerated. He pledged that enforcement mechanisms would be strengthened to ensure full adherence to regulatory guidelines.

The Acting GM called on practitioners and business owners to align with the new direction and embrace the reforms. He assured stakeholders that KWASAA is committed to fostering a professional, transparent, and innovation-driven advertising ecosystem across Kwara State.
