Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as unprecedented gains for the North Central region under the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration.
Speaking at the APC North Central Zone Stakeholders’ Meeting held Tuesday night in Abuja, Governor Abdulrazaq highlighted key achievements that have positively impacted the zone, including the establishment of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), new infrastructure projects, and strategic federal appointments.
“Our region is better served in the APC and through our unwavering support for President Tinubu,” the governor said. “Just under a year ago, we requested the creation of a development commission for our zone, and today, that commission is a reality — led by our own sons and daughters. This is a significant win.”
Governor Abdulrazaq also applauded the President for appointing a new Group Chief Executive Officer for the NNPC from the region and for implementing the national forest guards policy — a move he described as a bold, community-driven strategy to boost national security and protect forested areas.

Despite the early discomforts of ongoing reforms, the governor maintained that economic indicators are now pointing in the right direction. “Mr. President’s policies are beginning to bear good fruit. The future looks bright,” he assured.
Emphasizing the growing relevance of the region in national politics, Governor Abdulrazaq called on stakeholders to maintain their support for the APC and President Tinubu beyond 2027.
“This is crucial not only for the North Central but also for Nigeria’s political stability, economic progress, and national unity,” he added.
The high-level stakeholders’ meeting brought together party leaders, elders, and representatives from all states in the North Central zone.
