AbdulRazaq Backs Kwara Kre8 as Headline Sponsor to Empower Young Creatives

In a major boost for the creative industry in Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved headline sponsorship of the maiden edition of Kwara Kre8—an innovative initiative aimed at empowering young creatives across the digital and cultural landscape.

Kwara Kre8 is designed to uplift and equip photographers, filmmakers, social media influencers, content creators, and storytellers who use digital platforms to showcase their talents. With a strong focus on promoting Kwara’s rich cultural heritage and creative potential, the initiative seeks to position the state as a hub of innovation and artistic expression.

Announcing the partnership, the organizers of Kwara Kre8 shared:
“We are glad to announce that the Kwara State Government, through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, has become the headline sponsor for the maiden edition of the Kwara Kre8 workshop. This landmark partnership marks a significant milestone in our journey to nurture and promote creative talents in Kwara State.”

Adebisi Oyelere, the Creative Lead of Kwara Kre8, praised the government’s support, calling it a bold testament to Governor AbdulRazaq’s understanding of the creative sector’s capacity to drive economic growth, innovation, and cultural development.

“The headline sponsorship by the Kwara State Government is a moral booster for our determination at Kwara Kre8 to provide a sustainable platform for young creatives to showcase their creativity, receive mentorship, and connect with industry professionals. It enhances the visibility and viability of their talents,” Oyelere said.

The workshop will provide participants with hands-on training, industry-relevant skills, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities to network with key stakeholders in Nigeria’s creative space. It will also serve as a launchpad for emerging creatives to present their work to wider audiences.

Prominent keynote speakers expected at the event include Hannatu Musa Musawa Esq, Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy; Ayo Adeagbo, Special Assistant on Art, Culture, and Creative Economy to the President; and Sadiq Rabiu, Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Capacity Development, among others.

Kwara Kre8 expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his continuous support of youth-centered initiatives. The organization emphasized that this sponsorship underscores the Governor’s commitment to empowering the youth and fostering creativity as a viable pathway to development and global relevance.
