Eid-el-Kabir: Hon. Tade Felicitates With Muslims, Urges Tolerance and Unity

As Muslims across the world mark Eid-el-Kabir, Hon. AbdulMutalib Tade Shittu, Senior Special Assistant on Kwara State Geographical Information Service to the Kwara State Governor, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah, urging them to embrace the true essence of the celebration — sacrifice, tolerance, and companionship.

In a statement released on the eve of the festival, Hon. Shittu congratulated the faithful on witnessing yet another Eid, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the season as a time to reflect on obedience to Allah, compassion for others, and peaceful coexistence.

“Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the virtue of total submission to the will of Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). It is a moment to strengthen our bonds as a people and to support one another, regardless of religious or ethnic differences,” he said.

Hon. Shittu also called on Nigerians, particularly the people of Kwara State, to use the festive period to promote unity, peace, and mutual understanding, especially in a time where national cohesion is needed more than ever.

He prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and progress in Kwara State and Nigeria at large, while wishing all Muslim faithful a joyful and spiritually fulfilling Eid celebration.

“May this Eid bring us closer to our Creator and to one another. I wish all Muslims a safe, peaceful, and joyous celebration,” he added.
