Gov AbdulRazaq Hosts Ansar-ud-Deen Leadership, Reaffirms Commitment to Education and Healthcare Development

The Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Monday received a delegation from the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, led by its newly elected National President, Prince Mosediq Adeniji-Kazeem, SAN, at the Ahmadu Bello House in Ilorin.

During the courtesy visit, Governor AbdulRazaq commended the Society for its longstanding contributions to the promotion of education and religious harmony across Nigeria. He congratulated Prince Adeniji-Kazeem on his emergence as the National President of the faith-based organization, describing his appointment as a call to further national service in both spiritual and developmental matters.

“Our administration recognizes and appreciates the impactful role played by Ansar-ud-Deen in championing educational growth and peaceful coexistence in the country,” the Governor said. “Your values align with our vision of inclusive development.”

Speaking further, Governor AbdulRazaq reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the state’s education sector. He highlighted recent strides in medical education and infrastructure, including the establishment of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital at the General Hospital, Ilorin, as a major milestone.

“In 2019, we had only one teaching hospital for training medical professionals, which was the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. Today, Kwara has added more training facilities — KWASU now has a teaching hospital, and Al-Hikmah University is using Sobi Specialist Hospital. The General Hospital in Omu-Aran is also now affiliated with Thomas Adewumi University,” he stated.

According to the Governor, these efforts are deliberate steps aimed at expanding opportunities for the training of more medical personnel and enhancing the healthcare delivery system in the state.

The visit ended on a cordial note, with the Governor expressing gratitude to the delegation for the visit and wishing the Ansar-ud-Deen Society continued success in its mission of nation-building.
