The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has renewed the operational licence of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the NAHCON Zonal Coordinator for Kwara, Ondo, and Ekiti States, Alhaji Lawal Kaseem Yinka, during a courtesy visit to the Board’s headquarters in Ilorin.
Alhaji Yinka said the renewal followed a comprehensive review that confirmed the Board’s compliance with all operational standards and readiness for the 2026 pilgrimage.
We are thoroughly satisfied with the facilities, administrative structure, and overall preparedness of the Kwara State Board, Yinka stated. “This renewal gives all intending pilgrims from Kwara, including non-indigenes residing in the state, the confidence to begin their preparations early.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, represented by the Chief Administrative Officer, Hajia Ramat Alaaya, received the delegation alongside other senior management staff.
The NAHCON team later toured the Board’s facilities, including the Data Processing Unit, Accounts Department, Conference Hall, Procurement Unit, Press Unit, and Planning Department, where they expressed satisfaction with the Board’s operational capacity and infrastructure.
