MOK Foundation Sponsors WAEC Fees for Over 500 Students in Two Years — Executive Director

The Executive Director of the MOK Foundation, Saheed Temitope Lawal, recently addressed the media to highlight the organization’s significant contributions to education in Kwara State. Under the leadership of Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, the MOK Foundation has successfully covered the WAEC (West African Examinations Council) fees for over 500 students in the region over the past two years. During a press briefing, Lawal outlined the foundation’s plans and criteria for the upcoming WAEC sponsorship program, which aims to benefit deserving students in 2026.

Since its establishment in 2023, the MOK Foundation has made strides in supporting students in Kwara State, particularly in their pursuit of academic excellence. Lawal emphasized that the foundation’s efforts in the educational sector represent a significant achievement. “In 2024 and 2025 alone, we have invested in the futures of over 500 students by covering their WAEC fees,” he stated. “Our current focus is on further consolidating our efforts within our constituency and enhancing the support we provide.”

He expressed pride in the outcomes of the foundation’s initiatives, noting that many of the beneficiaries have successfully transitioned to various higher institutions of learning. “We have witnessed firsthand how our support has helped these bright students realize their aspirations,” Lawal added.

As the foundation prepares for the next phase of the WAEC sponsorship program, he assured parents and guardians that deserving students will have the opportunity to benefit significantly. The application process for these sponsorships is set to commence in just a few weeks, and the foundation is committed to ensuring that eligible students are well-supported in their academic journeys.
