The MOK Foundation has extended its educational support to students in Kwara North and Kwara Central with the distribution of free WAEC scholarship forms, in a move aimed at easing financial burdens and expanding access to secondary education.
The initiative, which aligns with ongoing efforts to support government interventions in the education sector, targets deserving students who may struggle to afford examination fees.
Speaking on the programme, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Saheed Lawal, said the gesture reflects the Foundation’s long-term commitment to reducing inequality in access to education. According to him, the MOK Foundation is focused on bridging the gap between privileged and underprivileged students, ensuring that every child has a fair chance to achieve academic success regardless of background.
Lawal disclosed that the Foundation has been awarding WAEC scholarships to qualified students since 2023, noting that the current distribution further reinforces its resolve to sustain educational support across the state.
He assured beneficiaries and stakeholders that the MOK Foundation will continue to invest in scholarship schemes and other educational interventions as part of its broader mission to empower young people and promote educational equity in Kwara State.
