MOK Foundation Records Major Health Sector Impact, Supports Over 400 Patients in Kwara

The MOK Foundation, a non-governmental organization committed to community development and social welfare, has recorded significant achievements in the health sector in 2025 by covering medical expenses for over 400 patients across five affiliated Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Kwara State.

Speaking during a comprehensive review of the foundation’s 2025 health interventions, the Executive Director, Mr. Saheed Lawal, said the initiative reflects the foundation’s unwavering commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations.

Mr. Lawal explained that beyond the five partnered PHCs, the foundation also intervened in numerous unrecorded cases across different local government areas, where it paid medical bills for individuals in critical need. According to him, these interventions underscore the foundation’s resolve to ensure that financial constraints do not deny residents access to basic healthcare services.

He noted that the health intervention programme is deeply rooted in the vision of the foundation’s founder, Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, whose philosophy centres on transforming lives and “putting smiles on people’s faces” through practical and compassionate support.

In addition to settling medical bills, the MOK Foundation also donated essential medical supplies and equipment to several health facilities within the state. These donations, Mr. Lawal said, were aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery, improving service efficiency, and enhancing the overall capacity of primary healthcare centres.

He disclosed that the total value of the health sector interventions in 2025 runs into several millions of naira, reflecting the seriousness and scale of the foundation’s commitment to raising health standards in Kwara State.

With more than 400 patients directly supported in the year under review, Mr. Lawal reassured the people of Kwara State and Nigerians at large that the foundation’s healthcare initiatives would not only be sustained but expanded in the coming years, in line with the founder’s long-term vision.

“The MOK Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to provide life-saving support to those in need and to serve as a reliable partner in community development and social welfare,” he said.

Through its growing health interventions, the foundation continues to play a critical role in improving the quality of life of underserved communities and strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery across Kwara State.
