Team Apaokagi has dedicated its impressive unbeaten performance at the Play With Kwara Youth 5.0 football tournament to its late coach, Dr. Badirudeen Apaokagi, while expressing deep appreciation to community philanthropist, Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK), for his generous financial support.
Speaking on behalf of the team, the Interim Coach, Nu’akofu Uthman Oladimeji, said the players drew inspiration from the legacy and passion of their late coach, whose memory continues to motivate the team’s resilience and discipline on the field. Prayers were also offered for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon the departed coach.
The team further acknowledged the support of Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, describing him as a foremost community developer whose donation of ₦300,000 played a significant role in boosting team morale and logistics throughout the competition. The players prayed for divine reward and continued blessings for the benefactor.
Team Apaokagi commended the organisers of Play With Kwara Youth 5.0 and all participating teams for delivering a successful and impactful tournament that showcased youth talent and placed Kwara State in the national spotlight.
Concluding the message, the team described the competition as a collective victory for all participants, stressing that beyond results, the tournament fostered unity, sportsmanship, and youth development across the state.
