MOK Teams Laud ODUNA, Qs Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode After Successful Offa Volleyball Tournament

The MOK Olalomi Spikers (Male) and MOK Olalomi Queens (Female) have expressed deep appreciation to the Offa Descendants Union North America (ODUNA) for the successful hosting of the ODUNA Volleyball Tournament, which climaxed with a colourful grand finale at the Zeems Sports Arena, Offa.

Speaking on behalf of both teams, Head Coach, Faremi Mary Oluwabukola, popularly known as Coach Bukky, described the tournament as well-organised and impactful, noting that it has further boosted the growth and visibility of volleyball in Offa and its environs.

Coach Bukky specially commended the Chairman of the teams, Qs. Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, Founder of the MOK Foundation and Principal Partner of Luxiar Construction Company, for his unwavering support and commitment to youth and sports development.

She said the teams’ participation and impressive showing at the competition were made possible through the consistent encouragement, sponsorship and motivation provided by Kayode.

“Our participation and performance at this tournament would not have been possible without the fatherly support of Qs. Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode. He has remained a strong pillar behind our teams, and we are deeply grateful for his continuous investment in youth and sports development,” she said.

The MOK teams also appreciated the officiating officials for their professionalism, fairness and discipline throughout the competition. They gave special recognition to Adebayo Lateef M., a National Grade 1 Referee and Secretary of the Kwara State Volleyball Council; Saliu Femi, a National Grade 2 Referee; and Saidu Mora, a National Grade 3 Referee, commending their integrity and impartial conduct.

Coach Bukky further praised ODUNA for using sports as a tool for youth engagement, talent discovery and the promotion of healthy living, describing the tournament as a platform that strengthens unity among Offa youths at home and in the diaspora.

She reaffirmed the commitment of the MOK Olalomi Spikers and MOK Olalomi Queens to continue representing Offa with pride and striving for greater success in future competitions.
