Ashiru’s ICT digital training for Kwara South youths begins Monday

The ICT Digital Training and Empowerment Programme facilitated by the Deputy Senate Leader, Sen. Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, will commence on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The initiative, targeted at youths across the seven local government areas of Kwara South, is aimed at equipping participants with relevant digital skills and promoting self-reliance in the technology-driven economy.

In a statement shared on his official social media account on Sunday, the lawmaker confirmed that the selection process had been concluded and successful applicants had been contacted through their registered details.

Ashiru said the programme would provide participants with practical training in in-demand digital skills to enhance their competitiveness in the global marketplace.

“This initiative is part of my continued commitment to equipping our youths with relevant digital skills for opportunities in today’s technology-driven world. I wish all participants a productive and impactful training experience,” he said.

The training programme is being organised in collaboration with technical partners, including One Innovation Hub Offa, to further promote digital innovation and capacity development in the senatorial district.

The initiative forms part of the senator’s efforts to support youth empowerment and socio-economic development in Kwara South.
