Ajani Abiola Joshua FCNA, ACTI, CCFrCA, has steadily risen through the ranks of public service to become one of the most respected figures in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State. His story reflects a blend of professional excellence, community stewardship, and unwavering commitment to grassroots development.
Born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Ajani of the Isale Odo compound in Igbo-Emun village, Baba-Dudu Ward, Ajani began his educational journey at LGEA Primary School, Igbo-Emun, where he earned his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). He proceeded to Government Secondary School, Bode Saadu, for his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).
He later pursued his passion for accounting at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, where he obtained both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting. Driven by a desire for excellence, Ajani furthered his education at the Nigerian College of Accountancy, Jos, Plateau State, earning a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and professional certifications. He also holds an MBA in Business Administration from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
Professionally, Ajani is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI), and a Certified Forensic Accountant and Fraud Investigator (CCFrCA).
His career in public service began humbly as a clerk in the Moro Local Government, where he rose through the ranks to serve as a tax collector and later as a tax officer. His dedication and professionalism earned him a leadership role as the Chief Accounting Officer at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa—a position he holds to date, contributing significantly to the college’s growth and administrative success.
Outside the office, Ajani is a passionate entrepreneur and farmer, deeply involved in agricultural ventures aimed at enhancing food security, reducing poverty, and tackling youth unemployment in Nigeria. He firmly believes that “there is no substitute for hard work,” and channels this philosophy into both his business and community work.
Ajani’s philanthropic and leadership qualities have not gone unnoticed. His dedication to the development of Moro Local Government and the Kwara North Senatorial District has earned him wide respect. In recognition of his contributions, traditional rulers have conferred on him two prestigious chieftaincy titles Otun Bashorun of Jebba by the Oba of Jebba, Alhaji Abdulkadir Alabi Adebara, and Moyegeso of Shao Kingdom. These titles, rooted in honor and responsibility, serve to encourage him in his ongoing efforts to uplift his people and preserve cultural values.
Ajani Abiola Joshua stands today not only as a seasoned accountant and public servant but also as a beacon of integrity, service, and grassroots empowerment in Kwara State.
