MOK Foundation Empowers Citizens with Over ₦50 Million in 2025 — Executive Director

The MOK Foundation for Community Development has disbursed over ₦50 million in cash and essential tools to empower citizens and enhance livelihoods across Kwara State and beyond in 2025, according to its Executive Director, Mr. Saheed Temitope Lawal.

Speaking at a press conference at the foundation’s office, Mr. Lawal said the gesture forms part of the organisation’s sustained efforts to alleviate poverty through cash empowerment programmes, trader support schemes, and spontaneous financial assistance championed by the foundation’s founder, Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK).

The MOK Foundation has become a household name in Kwara and across Nigeria because of the relentless commitment of our founder, Lawal said. Our achievements over the last ten months are not only a local success but a model for national poverty alleviation.

He assured that the foundation’s weekly empowerment initiatives would continue uninterrupted, backed by robust financial support and outreach across various communities.

Highlighting other interventions, Lawal noted that since 2023, the foundation’s monthly health initiative—run in partnership with local healthcare providers—has covered hospital bills for over 1,000 patients this year, with another 200 beneficiaries assisted in emergency cases.

The foundation’s annual food distribution programme, he added, continues to reach thousands of families facing food insecurity, while its education support initiative is set to sponsor candidates for the 2026 WAEC and JAMB examinations.

Lawal reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to long-term community development, stressing that its programmes are built to “stand the test of time” and create sustainable pathways for social and economic growth.
