MOK Foundation Flags Off 2026 WAEC Scholarship for 250 Kwara Students

The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has announced plans to flag off its 2026 WAEC Scholarship Scheme, which will cover 250 beneficiaries across Kwara State, as part of its sustained commitment to educational empowerment.

The official flag-off ceremony is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Offa Grammar School Auditorium, Offa.

According to the Foundation, the scholarship programme, themed “Continuing the Journey, Lighting the Path to Brighter Futures,” is designed to inspire young students across Kwara communities to pursue their academic goals with confidence and to develop into responsible and impactful members of society.

The initiative seeks to remove financial barriers that often prevent students from sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), thereby ensuring that no willing and qualified student is denied the opportunity to complete secondary education due to economic hardship.

The Foundation noted that the 2026 WAEC Scholarship represents another milestone in its growing record of educational interventions, reaffirming its vision of giving hope, expanding access, and investing in human capital development across the state.

Since its establishment, the MOK Foundation has consistently supported students at various levels through examination sponsorships and other educational assistance, positioning itself as a key stakeholder in grassroots education support in Kwara State.

Students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders are expected to attend the flag-off ceremony, as the Foundation takes another bold step toward shaping brighter futures for young learners and strengthening the educational landscape of the state.
