The Emir of Kano, His Highness Muhammadu Sanusi II, alongside the Khalifa of Sheikh Ibrahim Inyass from Kaulaha, Senegal, and other prominent Islamic scholars, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, at the Muhammadu Buhari House in Katsina.
The visit formed part of activities marking the 40th Annual National Maulud, which was hosted later in the day by Katsina State and drew millions of Muslim faithful from across Nigeria and other countries.
During the courtesy call, the royal father and religious leaders exchanged warm courtesies with Governor Radda and offered special prayers for sustained peace, unity and socio-economic development in Katsina State and the country at large.

Governor Radda, while receiving the delegation, expressed appreciation for the visit and the spiritual support, describing the Maulud celebration as a platform for strengthening moral values, religious harmony and national cohesion.
He commended the clerics for their continuous efforts in promoting peaceful coexistence and fostering unity among Muslims, stressing the importance of religious leaders in shaping a stable and progressive society.

The delegation later proceeded to the Maulud venue, where thousands of worshippers had gathered to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in an atmosphere of prayers, supplications and spiritual reflections.

The annual event has remained one of the largest Islamic gatherings in the country, attracting scholars, traditional rulers and devotees from different parts of Africa.
