The Babalaje of Oro Kingdom and Founder of the Oluwasegun Olaoye Foundation, Hon. Chief Segun Olaoye, has congratulated Prince Sunday Fagbemi on his re-election as Chairman of the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Olaoye, a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Isin/Irepodun/Ekiti/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency, described Fagbemi’s return and the emergence of other executives at the state, local government, and ward levels as a victory for internal democracy.
He also commended Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for what he termed his inclusive and fatherly leadership style, which he said ensured the peaceful conduct of the congresses across the 193 wards and 16 local government areas.
“The success of these congresses is a direct reflection of the stable and progressive environment fostered by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. His commitment to a fair and transparent process has once again unified our party and positioned us for even greater victories,” the statement read.
Olaoye extended his congratulations to members of the newly elected State Executive Committee and party leaders at the grassroots, urging them to see their emergence as a call to higher service.
He charged the executives to prioritise unity and the welfare of party members as preparations begin ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The House of Representatives hopeful reaffirmed his commitment to his federal constituency, pledging to continue working closely with the party leadership to strengthen the APC’s structure and enhance effective representation.
