2027: Gbenga Power restates commitment to serve at Oyun stakeholders’ parley

A leading aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Hon. Gbenga Oyekunle Power, has reaffirmed his readiness to serve ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election.

Power made the pledge on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ engagement and Iftar with party leaders and members in Oyun Local Government Area.

The event, held at Oluomo Hall in Erinle, attracted a large turnout of party faithful, community leaders, and support groups across the LGA.

In his address, the aspirant commended AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his leadership style, particularly in human capital development, fiscal discipline, and infrastructure delivery across the state.

He assured stakeholders of inclusive representation, promising equitable distribution of democratic dividends across Ifelodun, Offa, and Oyun LGAs.

“I will work to ensure the betterment of all and that our people enjoy the full dividends of democracy,” he said.

Power also highlighted his track record in community service, noting that his philanthropic and educational interventions predate his political ambition.

“I am not coming to learn on the job. My philanthropic track record is my certificate of readiness,” he added.

He further pledged to support youth-driven initiatives, promising to execute viable projects presented through party youth leadership.

Stakeholders, including Oyun APC Chairman, Hon. Kayode Adewoye, and Council Secretary, Hon. Richard Agboola, commended the aspirant’s consistency and grassroots engagement, describing his efforts as commendable.

The meeting featured an interactive session where party executives engaged the aspirant on plans for rural electrification, agriculture, and youth employment.

Power concluded the visit with a financial support package for the party structure at the local government level, reiterating his belief that the legislative mandate is a collective responsibility.
