The Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State has said the large turnout at its recent post-convention rally in Ilorin reflects growing public support and signals readiness for political change ahead of future elections.
In a statement issued by the State Secretary, Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode, the party described the rally as a demonstration of increasing confidence among residents in the PDP as a credible alternative.
The party said the event conveyed “a powerful message of hope,” noting that many Kwarans expressed willingness to align with its vision for governance. It also referenced its recent national convention in Abuja, stating that the exercise has strengthened internal cohesion and preparedness for future contests.
The statement further acknowledged the leadership role of Bukola Saraki within the party, while reiterating its commitment to tackling security, economic, and governance challenges in the state.
The PDP, however, commended residents for their participation and reaffirmed its resolve to provide people-oriented leadership and deepen engagement with communities across the state.
