Right to Write: MOK Foundation Empowers Oyun Pupils with Essential Learning Materials

In a bid to support early childhood education and promote equal access to learning materials, the MOK Foundation, under its Foundation for Community Development initiative, has launched an educational outreach program to public primary schools in Oyun Local Government Area.

As part of the initiative, the Foundation distributed pencils to pupils in kindergarten and Primary 1 to 3, ensuring that the youngest learners are adequately equipped for the new academic session. The distribution targeted four key public schools:

  1. Igbona Community LGEA School
  2. Community LGEA School, Ikere Aje
  3. Sekongba Community LGEA School
  4. Agara Community LGEA School

Speaking during the outreach, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Lawal, emphasized the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to grassroots education support.

“We believe that no child should be denied basic education because of financial constraints or lack of materials. We are going to extend this gesture to all other local governments across Kwara,” he said.

The initiative received widespread commendation from school administrators, teachers, and parents, who described it as both timely and impactful, especially as schools resume for a new academic session.

Alhaji Tunde Salahudeen, the coordinator of the scheme in Oyun Local Government, also expressed gratitude to the hosting schools for their cooperation and reassured the Foundation of continued local support for its educational interventions.

The MOK Foundation, renowned for its philanthropic work in health, education, and welfare, continues to make significant contributions to community development across Kwara State, reinforcing its mission to uplift underserved populations.
