The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has donated ₦400,000 to the family of late Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and Offa-based grassroots politician, Hon. Mohammed Taofeek Oyekanmi Asafe Omoluabi, popularly known as Kanjuko.
The donation was made during a condolence visit to the bereaved family following Omoluabi’s death on January 10, 2026.
In addition to the cash support, the foundation announced the establishment of an education trust fund for the children of the deceased, pledging an initial deposit of ₦2 million. The foundation further assured that the account would be credited periodically to ensure sustained educational support for the children.
Leading the delegation on behalf of the foundation’s founder, Qs. Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, the Executive Director, Mr. Saheed Temitope Lawal, said the gesture was part of the organisation’s commitment to standing with families in times of grief and safeguarding the future of vulnerable children.
Lawal, who was accompanied by the Director of Media, Nurudeen Ojo Mohammad, and Alhaji Moshood Tewogbola, conveyed the foundation’s heartfelt condolences to the widow, children and extended family members of the deceased.
The delegation was received by representatives of the family, including Hon. Tunji Nurudeen Olanrewaju Omoluabi, Chief Executive Officer of Peacock Interior Decor and Peacock Exotic Wall Finishes; Hon. Azeez Oyeyemi Olanrewaju Omoluabi, founder of the Ileri Oluwa Foundation and former Offa chairmanship aspirant; and Ms. Jimoh Tawakalitu Omoluabi.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Hon. Azeez Omoluabi expressed gratitude to the MOK Foundation for what he described as a timely and compassionate intervention.
He said the support would provide relief to the family and help secure the educational future of the late politician’s children, noting that the gesture demonstrated true community solidarity.
Omoluabi’s death has continued to attract tributes from political associates, community leaders and residents of Offa, who described him as a committed progressive and grassroots mobiliser.
