Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has taken a swipe at the All Progressives Congress, saying while his administration is winning the support of the people through governance, the opposition is resorting to violence.
Adeleke made the remark during a political engagement in Ifedayo Local Government Area, where he was accompanied by key leaders of the Imole Campaign and allied political groups.
“We are winning the people; they are shooting the people,” the governor declared, in an apparent criticism of the opposition APC.
Among those who accompanied the governor were the Deputy Director-General of the Imole Campaign, Kolapo Alimi; Senior Adviser to the Imole Campaign, Sunday Bisi; Accord Party Chairman in Osun State, Victor Akande; Osun Central Senatorial candidate, Ganiyu Olaoluwa; and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf.
The governor was received in Ifedayo by senior government officials, including the Head of Service, Elder Ayanleye Aina, and the Special Adviser to the Governor, Femi Adefila, alongside other political stakeholders.
Adeleke’s remarks come amid heightened political activities in Osun State as parties intensify preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
