2027: Kwara Entertainers Endorse Femi Sanni’s Guber Bid

The governorship ambition of received a major boost on Thursday as stakeholders in the creative industry under the aegis of formally endorsed his aspiration for the 2027 gubernatorial election.

The endorsement, which took place at the O2 Arena Event Center, attracted a large turnout of entertainers, political supporters and party loyalists, in an event that combined political mobilisation with cultural performances.

Speakers at the event, in their goodwill messages, commended the aspirant’s record of philanthropy and community development, expressing confidence that his track record would play a significant role in his quest for the state’s top office.

A major highlight of the gathering was a testimonial by veteran comic actor and filmmaker, , who declared his support for the “Araba 2027” project.

“I have never supported a loser in my life. I am glad I was part of those who contributed to the success of the current Governor of Kwara State, . The Araba 2027 task is another success story on the way,” he said, while also commending the aspirant’s contributions to the entertainment industry.

Also speaking, renowned broadcaster, , described Sanni as a strong contender, linking his entrepreneurial background to job creation and youth empowerment.

Similarly, ace dramatist, , stressed the need for leadership that understands the creative economy, insisting that Sanni fits that profile.

On behalf of traditional performers, offered prayers and urged entertainers across the state to rally support for the aspirant.

In his opening remarks, the convener, , said the endorsement was based on Sanni’s professional competence and vision for a modern and industrialised Kwara, urging participants to mobilise support across their constituencies.

The venue was filled to capacity, with attendees spilling into adjoining areas, as cultural displays showcased the richness of Kwara’s heritage and the growing alignment of the creative community with the Araba movement.

Sanni, a fellow of both the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Engineers, is being projected by supporters as a technocrat capable of consolidating on the infrastructural strides of the current administration.
