Stakeholders in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have endorsed for the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement was made at a meeting held in Ajase-Ipo, which drew party leaders and grassroots mobilisers, including former APC State Secretary, , and former Commissioner for Finance, .
Speaking at the gathering, Adekanye said the stakeholders’ decision was based on Sanni’s “consistency and grassroots connection,” while Adewumi described him as “well-positioned to drive economic growth and fiscal discipline” in the state.
In his response, Sanni expressed appreciation for the endorsement, describing the stakeholders as “pillars of Kwara’s political development.”
“I am honoured by your support. Our focus will be policies that grow the economy, support businesses, and create jobs for our people,” he said.
The aspirant added that his vision is anchored on inclusive growth, small and medium-scale enterprise development, and strengthening the state’s economic base.
The stakeholders also pledged to mobilise broader support across the local government and beyond ahead of the party primaries.
