Araba Declares for Kwara Governorship, Submits Letter of Intent to APC

Engr. Femi Sanni, popularly known as Araba, has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration was marked by the submission of his letter of intent at the party’s state secretariat, where he was received by members of the State Working Committee led by the Chairman, Sunday Fagbemi.

Speaking during the visit, Sanni said he would serve as a unifying figure within the party and across the state if given the mandate. He also pledged to build on the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, stressing the need for continuity and consolidation of ongoing development efforts.

He assured party leaders of his commitment to strengthening internal cohesion within the APC while promoting inclusive governance that accommodates all stakeholders.

In his response, Fagbemi welcomed the aspiration and commended Sanni for following due process in notifying the party of his ambition.

The APC chairman also assured that the party would provide a level playing ground for all aspirants, reiterating its commitment to fairness, transparency, and internal democracy.

The development adds to the growing list of aspirants positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 governorship race in Kwara State, as political activities intensify across party lines.
