House of Representatives aspirant for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Hon. Akintade Shittu Abdulmutalib, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muyideen Salman Hussain, popularly known as “World Best,” as part of his ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The respected Islamic scholar received the aspirant warmly during the visit, which centred on seeking prayers, guidance, and support for Akintade Shittu’s aspiration to represent the people of Ifelodun, Offa, and Oyun Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
The meeting formed part of the aspirant’s wider engagement with religious leaders, community stakeholders, and influential figures across the constituency as he intensifies consultations ahead of his official declaration.
Speaking during the visit, Akintade Shittu described the Chief Imam as a highly respected spiritual leader whose counsel and prayers remain invaluable to the growth and unity of the community.
He said his aspiration is driven by a sincere desire to provide purposeful representation, attract development opportunities, and promote policies that will positively impact the lives of constituents.
According to him, his campaign slogan, “Afára Lánaá, Lónìí àti Lọ́la,” represents his vision of being a bridge between the people and sustainable development, as well as a commitment to continuity, progress, and a better future for the constituency.
“I have come to seek the prayers, support, and fatherly guidance of our revered Islamic leader as I continue consultations with critical stakeholders across the constituency. Leadership is a trust, and I believe prayers and wise counsel are essential for anyone seeking to serve the people,” he said.
Akintade Shittu also reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation, grassroots development, youth empowerment, and initiatives that would improve the welfare of the people across the constituency.
In his remarks, Sheikh Muyideen Salman Hussain offered prayers for peace, wisdom, and divine guidance, while advising the aspirant to remain committed to sincerity, humility, and service to humanity.
The visit ended on a cordial note, with prayers offered for peace, unity, and progress within the constituency and the nation at large.
