The race for the Ilorin North/West State Constituency seat gained momentum on Monday as formally declared his ambition before executives and members of the in Oloje ward.
The frontline aspirant, seeking the party’s ticket to the , addressed a well-attended gathering where he outlined his vision for effective representation, grassroots development, and legislative accountability.
Jaji said his decision to contest was driven by a desire to amplify the voices of ordinary constituents, promising to prioritise education, healthcare, and youth empowerment if elected.
“I am not here to play politics of the stomach. I am here to work for you, carry your burdens to the assembly, and ensure our constituency gets what it deserves,” he said.
Party stakeholders in the ward welcomed the aspirant, with Chairman of PDP Stakeholders in Oloje, , assuring him of full support ahead of the primaries.
Olopalanba described Jaji as a committed grassroots mobiliser, adding that the ward would mobilise massively for him if he secures the party’s ticket. Other stakeholders echoed similar sentiments, pledging to rally support across the constituency.
Jaji expressed appreciation for the endorsement, promising not to take the trust of party members for granted as he continues consultations across other wards.
Political observers say his growing acceptance in Oloje ward signals increasing momentum ahead of the PDP primaries for the constituency seat.
