Plateau Government Files Terrorism Charges Against Five Over Jos Killings

The Government has filed terrorism-related charges against five suspects arrested over the killing of dozens of residents in Angwa Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area.

The suspects were earlier arrested by the (DSS) following the March 2026 attack on a popular bar in the community.

According to reports, the assailants invaded the area, killing several people and leaving many others injured during the attack.

The charges were filed last Friday, weeks after President visited Plateau State and assured residents that justice would be served for victims of the violence.

The prosecution marks a significant step in efforts by authorities to address recurring attacks and insecurity in parts of the state.

Security agencies have continued investigations into the incident as residents call for stronger measures to prevent further violence in affected communities.
