Eid-el-Adha: Stay Faithful to God and Nigeria, Gov AbdulRazaq Urges Kwarans in Sallah Message

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended warm greetings to the people of Kwara, especially the Muslim faithful, as they join millions around the world to celebrate Eid-el-Adha.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor congratulated the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the joyous occasion of the Eid.

Governor AbdulRazaq described Eid-el-Adha, which begins Friday, Dhul-Hijjah 10, 1446 A.H., as a sacred festival that underscores the virtues of unwavering faith, obedience to God, and fulfillment of divine promises, as exemplified in the lives of Prophets Ibrahim and Muhammad (peace be upon them).

“As we celebrate this sacred festival, I urge everyone to remain steadfast in their faith in God and in our shared commitment to the Nigerian project,” the Governor said.

“Let us continue to promote peaceful coexistence, support sustainable development efforts, and reject anything that undermines the growth and unity of Nigeria, our fatherland.”

He also used the occasion to express gratitude to the people of Kwara for their support and called on citizens to remain united and committed to progress, even amid economic and social challenges.

The Governor encouraged Kwarans to uphold the values of sacrifice, kindness, and service to humanity, while also supporting the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the state administration.

“I wish everyone a blessed Eid and many more years of good health and happiness. As we celebrate, I encourage us all to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu and our administration, while staying faithful to God and the unity and collective wellbeing of our communities.”
