The Alasinrin Musbau Movement (AMM) has called on its founder to contest for the Ilorin North West Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly ahead of the next electoral cycle.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the group said the appeal was based on the founder’s track record of community service, youth empowerment, and sustained grassroots engagement across Ilorin North and its environs.
According to the movement, its founder has, over the years, demonstrated “a consistent commitment to improving lives through mentorship, employment support, and community-driven initiatives,” adding that his leadership style reflects “service, integrity, and measurable impact.”
The AMM noted that the call became necessary at a time when the constituency requires “credible and people-oriented representation” capable of translating grassroots realities into legislative action.
“Ilorin North West is at a critical point where the need for responsive and effective representation cannot be overstated. Our founder has shown capacity, compassion, and a clear understanding of the people’s needs,” the statement read.
The group added that while many political actors are driven by personal interests, its founder has remained focused on service and development, earning him the trust and support of a growing base within the constituency.
It further expressed confidence that his emergence would strengthen representation and deepen development efforts, stressing that his transition from grassroots initiatives to legislative engagement would enable broader impact.
The movement, however, urged him to “heed the call to serve,” describing the appeal as “a call to duty rather than a mere political ambition.”
AMM also pledged to mobilise support across all wards and engage stakeholders to ensure the realisation of the aspiration.
“The people are ready for purposeful leadership, and we believe this presents an opportunity to consolidate progress and advance the collective interest of Ilorin North West,” the statement added.
