A chieftain of the , , has formally declared his intention to contest the Kwara State governorship election in 2027, seeking the party’s approval to run.
Bolarinwa made this known during a visit to the APC State Secretariat in Ilorin, where he presented his letter of intent to party leaders led by the State Chairman, .
Describing the visit as a “homecoming,” the former APC State Chairman reiterated his long-standing commitment to the party and called on stakeholders to support his ambition.
He noted that he was among key figures who contributed to the party’s victory in the 2019 general elections, which ushered in the current administration in Kwara State.
Bolarinwa highlighted his political experience as a major asset, expressing confidence in his capacity to drive development and reposition the state if given the mandate.
He also pledged to sustain and build on the achievements of Governor , whom he credited with positively transforming the state.
In his response, Fagbemi confirmed receipt of the aspirant’s letter of intent and assured that the party would provide a level playing field for all contenders.
He also wished Bolarinwa success in his bid as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to intensify in the state.
