Former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, , has expressed pride in his achievements while serving in the administration of President .
In a statement issued on Wednesday following his removal from office, Edun thanked the President for the opportunity to serve in different capacities since the administration came into power in May 2023.
He described his time in office as a privilege, noting that he contributed to the implementation of the administration’s economic reforms during a critical period in Nigeria’s development.
Edun said he remains grateful for the confidence reposed in him and for the opportunity to work alongside other officials in advancing the government’s economic agenda.
The former minister also reflected on the challenges faced during his tenure, expressing satisfaction with the efforts made to stabilise the economy and implement key policy reforms.
He wished the administration continued success in its efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s economy and improve the welfare of citizens.
