House of Representatives aspirant for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Akintade Shittu Abdulmutalib, on Thursday visited the APC Secretariat in Ojomu North/North West Ward, Offa, to seek the support, prayers, and endorsement of party stakeholders and members ahead of his official declaration scheduled for Sunday.
The visit forms part of his ongoing consultations across the constituency as he intensifies grassroots engagement for his aspiration to represent the people of Ifelodun, Offa, and Oyun Federal Constituency at the National Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Akintade Shittu was warmly received by key party leaders and stakeholders, including the Chairman of the ward, Alhaji Lai Oyediran; the Youth Leader, Alhaji Akeem Oyewale; the Women Leader, Mrs Bunmi Opeyemi; Hon. Abodurin Femi, Supervisor for Education in Offa Local Government; Alhaji YK Bello, alongside other party executives, elders, political associates, and supporters who gathered at the ward secretariat in solidarity with his aspiration.
The venue witnessed a large turnout of party faithful and supporters, creating an atmosphere of excitement and optimism as stakeholders expressed confidence in his leadership capacity and political vision.
Addressing the gathering, Akintade Shittu said he had come before the people as their son to seek their blessing, support, and mandate to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.
“I have come to you as your son to seek your support and prayers. Send me with this message, and by the grace of God, I will deliver as expected. My ambition is driven by a genuine desire to provide purposeful representation, strengthen grassroots development, and attract meaningful opportunities to our constituency,” he said.
He also called for unity within the APC and urged members to remain committed to the growth of the party while promoting inclusive leadership that prioritises the welfare and aspirations of the people.
Speaking on his campaign slogan, “Afára Lánaá, Lónìí àti Lọ́la,” Akintade Shittu explained that the message reflects his vision of being a bridge between the people and government, as well as a pathway to development, progress, and sustainable opportunities for the constituency.
According to him, the slogan represents continuity, hope, and a commitment to building a better future through people-oriented representation and impactful leadership.
In a moment that drew applause and excitement from attendees, Akintade Shittu also presented a brand-new deep freezer to an APC member of Ojomu North/North West Ward, Mrs Adelodun Bolaji, as a gesture of appreciation and support.
Party leaders and stakeholders at the meeting commended his grassroots consultations, describing the visit as a demonstration of humility, respect for party structures, and dedication to engaging directly with constituents.
The meeting ended with prayers for unity within the APC, peace across the constituency, and success for Akintade Shittu’s aspiration ahead of the 2027 elections.
