Mass Turnout as Kwara APC Stages Mega Unity Rally in Ilorin

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State on Saturday staged a powerful show of strength as thousands of party faithful, leaders, and supporters flooded Ilorin for the much-anticipated Mega Unity Rally.

The rally commenced at the Emir’s Palace, Ilorin, where an overwhelming crowd gathered early, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement, chants, and clear demonstrations of loyalty to the party. The turnout reflected a renewed sense of unity and readiness among members across the state.

In a symbolic display of solidarity, participants moved in a procession from the Emir’s Palace through major parts of the city to the Banquet Hall, Ilorin, where the main event was held. The movement drew attention from residents and further amplified the presence and visibility of the party.

At the Banquet Hall, party stakeholders addressed the energized crowd, stressing the need for unity, discipline, and sustained grassroots mobilization. Speakers charged members to remain committed to the ideals of the party and to work collectively towards delivering victory in the coming elections.

Speaking at the rally, Ambassador AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki urged party members to remain loyal, committed, and resolute in their support for the APC. He emphasized the importance of collective effort in delivering victory for the party in the forthcoming elections, noting that the APC has earned continued support based on the unprecedented achievements recorded under the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq.

In his remarks, Rep. Muktar Tolani Shagaya expressed confidence in the party’s electoral strength, stating that the APC remains the most viable platform to secure victory in the 2027 elections. He noted that the party’s track record and growing support base clearly set it apart from other contenders.

Speaking during an interview at the rally, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu described the massive turnout as a deliberate show of strength by party loyalists. She noted that the large crowd was a clear demonstration of commitment to the party’s success in the forthcoming elections.

“We came out in large numbers to ensure massive support for the APC in the coming elections and to strengthen the party’s chances of victory at all levels,” she said.

She further emphasized the need for sustained support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that continuity at the centre would help consolidate ongoing development efforts and ensure the delivery of democratic dividends to citizens across Nigeria.

The rally also served as a platform for key political figures to connect with supporters and reaffirm their dedication to the progress of the party and Kwara State at large.

Notable personalities in attendance included Alhaji Rasaq Lawal; Ambassador AbdulFatai Yahaya Seriki, a gubernatorial aspirant; Rep. Muktar Tolani Shagaya; Hon. Sheriff Shagaya; Hon. Sulaiman Lekan Gadaff; Prof. Shehu AbdulRaheem Adaramaja, Chairman Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board; Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu; alongside chairmen from the Kwara Central Council and Kwara Central Party structure, among others.

The sheer turnout and level of participation at the rally underscored the APC’s strong grassroots base in Kwara and signaled a united front as the party begins to consolidate ahead of future political contests.
