Supporters and stakeholders under the aegis of the Shagaya Consolidation Team on Sunday organised a special prayer gathering in honour of Muktar Tolani Shagaya, celebrating his achievements in office and calling on him to sustain his service to the constituency.
The event, held in the Ojuekun/Zarumi Ward area of Ilorin, brought together community leaders, youth groups, political supporters, and residents who offered prayers for the lawmaker’s continued success and effective representation.
Leading the gathering was Alhaji Olosasa alongside other prominent elders and stakeholders from the ward, whose presence reflected what organisers described as growing appreciation for Shagaya’s contributions to community development and grassroots engagement.
Also in attendance were members of the Muktar Shagaya Movement, Oju-Ekun, and the Youth Development Association of Ojuekun, among other support groups, who pledged continued backing for the lawmaker.
During the prayer session, clerics and community leaders prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for Shagaya, expressing confidence in his leadership and optimism about future development under his representation.
Speaking after the event, members of the Shagaya Consolidation Team thanked participants for their support and solidarity, noting that the gathering formed part of broader efforts to encourage the lawmaker to continue representing the constituency.
The organisers said the large turnout and unity displayed at the gathering underscored the growing support for Shagaya’s continued public service and commitment to grassroots development.
