Muktar Tolani Shagaya has obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress to contest for the Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Shagaya picked the forms on Monday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, formally signaling the commencement of his bid to retain the seat.
Speaking after obtaining the forms, the lawmaker said his decision to seek re-election was driven by the need to consolidate on ongoing legislative interventions and expand constituency development projects across Asa and Ilorin West local government areas.
He pledged to sustain efforts aimed at improving the welfare of constituents through quality representation and people-oriented initiatives if given another mandate.
Supporters and political associates who accompanied him to the secretariat described the development as a move toward continuity and effective representation for the constituency.
The purchase of the nomination forms comes as political activities continue to intensify within the APC in Kwara State ahead of the party primaries for the 2027 elections.
